Western Malibu, California.
Our ranch was completely surrounded by the Santa Monica Mountain National Recreation Area, a 156,000 acre land preserve north
of Los Angeles California.
The mountains and Pacific Ocean were my earliest imprint.
I developed a connection to the land and wide open spaces of wilderness.
My childhood home is now entirely preserved as the Malibu Nature Preserve,
Nature Trust of the Santa Monica Mountains.
From this beginning, I inherited the desire to dedicate my art to the
purpose of preservation of open space.

I paint oil on canvas in
Coastal California based on the California tradition.
My paintings are colorful Impressionist scenes of Open Space, Land Trusts and Preserves.
They celebrate the importance of Nature and Beauty to restore the human spirit.
My paintings are found in Corporate, Private collections, and Hospitals, offering viewers a connection to nature.

I'm inspired by the California golden light.
From a young age, I have been passionate about art that speaks to the importance of the restorative quality of nature.
My paintings are inspired by,
and painted to benefit, open space.
I believe that art should evoke feelings and provoke thoughts. My work often reflects the beauty of nature and
